Mean Well Enterprises Co., Ltd. has unveiled the GSC18/25/40 series (18W, 25W, and 40W, respectively) constant current output external LED power supply with built-in power factor correction. For the input side, the IEC320-C8 inlet is adopted for the desktop type (B type), and the 2-pole European plug is exploited for the wall-mounted type (E type). In each case, these power supplies operate from a universal input voltage of 90- to 277-Vac. The output side is equipped with the 2.1×5.5x11mm dc connector which is widely used in the market.

The GSC18/25/40 provide constant-current outputs of 350mA, 500mA, 700mA, 1050mA, and 1400mA, respectively. The design follows the EU ErP (Energy-Related Products) Directive for LED lighting systems- PF value >0.9, setup time <500ms and no load power consumption <0.5W (the no load power consumption of GSC series is lower than 0.15W, much better than the regulation’s criteria). It is also in compliance with EN61000-3-2 Class C (≧50% load) and EMI (Electro-Magnetic Interference) EN55015.
