Arch Electronics Corp. has added the AHCN series of 5-Watt PCB-mountable ac-dc power supplies. Measuring 2.0 x 1.0 x 0.6 inches , the AHCN power supplies are fully-encapsulated and in a plastic case. They operate over a universal input range of 90- to 264-Vac 47-440 Hz and have a no-load power rating under 0.2W. A 120- to 370-Vdc input option is also offered.

These ac-dc power supplies include over-load protection (hiccup mode), over-voltage protection and short-circuit protection. Input-to-output isolation is 3kV. They deliver full rated power from -10 to +50 degrees C, and derate linearly to 25% power at 70 degrees C under free-air convection cooling. Operation down to -40 degrees C is possible at a maximum of 80% of full load.
