Old brick-style batteries allow heat to build and slowly degrade the cells until the battery runs out, resulting in inconsistent and poor performance. The new EGO Power+ battery maintains full power output and performance levels until the battery is discharged. Battery recharging, formerly taking an hour or longer, is now reduced to as little as 25 minutes.
