Aimtec announces the AM1SS-NZ series of dc-dc converters. This new cost-effective unregulated series of 1-Watt power supplies provides continuous short circuit protection with auto recovery restart. The restart feature will work continuously until the short circuit condition is cleared, protecting the converter, the load, and the converter’s input circuit from extremely high currents a short circuit can cause.

Supported input voltages of 3.3-, 5-, 12-, 15- and 24-Vdc convert to single output voltages of 3.3-, 5-, 9-, 12-, 15-, and 24-Vdc. Operating within an ambient temperature range of -40 to +105 degrees C (with derating starting at 85 degrees C), the AM1SS-NZ series is designed for versatility and can be integrated into a multitude of applications, such as digital circuits, low frequency analog, or relay drive circuits. The series carries a UL 60950-1 certification.
