Advanced Power Solutions (APS) announces the release of the APS56EMG series of 50 Watt External Desktop Switchers compliant with Level VI international efficiency standards going into effect in February of 2016. The APS56EMG Series consists of 5 standard models without outputs ranging from 5- to 48-Vdc (custom voltage settings available upon request while maintaining all safety approvals). All models features a small size of only 4.33 x 2.28 x 1.27; Class I or Class II Isolation; Class B Emissions; No Load power under 0.16W; Efficiency up to 92%; Over-Current Protection; and Over Voltage Protection.

These power supplies operate from a universal input voltage of 90- to 264-Vac with a hold-up time of 20msec at 115Vac and 81msec at 230Vac. They deliver full power from -20 to +40 degrees C and derate linearly to 50% power at 50 degrees C. They are approved to EN55011, EN55022 and FCC Class B for emissions and have IEC60601-1 (Medical), IEC60950-1 (ITE) and CE Mark (LVD) safety approvals.
