Standard Rectifiers Offer ESD Capability in Thin SMPD Package

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today introduced new AEC-Q101-qualified 100V to 600V standard rectifiers that combine ESD capability with a wide range of current ratings from 10A to 20A. For space-constrained applications, the new SE10DxHM3/1, SE12DxHM3/1, and SE20DxHM3/1 are offered in the SMPD (TO-263AC) package, which features a low 1.7 mm profile and is footprint-compatible with the D2PAK. Featuring low forward voltage drops down to 0.96V typical at 12A, the SE10DxHM3/1, SE12DxHM3/1, and SE20DxHM3/1 reduce power loss and improve efficiency for general purpose power line polarity protection in automotive applications. With their ESD capability, the devices can provide class H3B (> 8 kV) performance based on the AEC-Q101-001 human body model (contact mode).

Built on an oxide planar chip technology, the new rectifiers feature maximum operating junction temperature of +175 degrees C and an MSL moisture sensitivity level of 1, per J-STD-020, LF maximum peak of 260 degrees C. Well-suited for automated placement, the devices are compliant with RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and halogen-free according to JEDEC JS709A standards.

Samples and production quantities of the SE10DxHM3/1, SE12DxHM3/1, and SE20DxHM3/1 are available now, with lead times of six weeks for larger orders. Pricing for U.S. delivery starts at $0.28 per piece in quantities below 10,000.
