Silego Technology, Inc. introduced today the SLG4LCxxxxV series, a new Universal Fast Charge Identification Solution, which features Qualcomm® Quick Charge™ 2.0 technology. The SLG4LCxxxxV series helps identify devices supporting Quick Charge 2.0 and provides the correct control information to the power supply to set the proper charging voltage. This innovative new Configurable Mixed-signal IC (CMIC) solution also includes support for many legacy fast charging standards, fault notification, and programmable discharge for high to low voltage transition.
Quick Charge 2.0 a product of Qualcomm Technologies, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated. With Quick Charge 2.0, the SLG4LCxxxxV series is designed to charge mobile devices up to 75% faster, allowing supporting devices with high-capacity batteries to charge in about one hour vs. the typical four-hour charging cycles of conventional chargers.

The SLG4LC4480V is the first device in the SLG4LCxxxxV series, and features both USB BC 1.2 in DCP mode and Quick Charge 2.0, enabling designers to quickly implement this new standard in their products while ensuring broader compatibility. Target applications include: Electronic accessories and chargers featuring Qualcomm® Quick ChargeTM 2.0; Mobile power battery banks; International Travel Chargers and Adaptors; Universal ac-dc chargers with USB port; and Wearable electronic chargers.
