100W to 185W Harsh Environment Power Supplies

The HEP family of ac-dc power supplies from Mean Well is designed to operate under harsh environments including; highly-humid, highly-dusty, highly-oily, highly-salty, ultra-low or high-temperature, heavily-vibration, high altitude and poor ventilation. After launching HEP-600 series (600W) into the market, Mean Well is now introducing the HEP-100/150/185 series, providing the rated power 100W/150W/185W, respectively.

Recommended: Universal Temperature Sensor IC with EEPROM

These three series adopt aluminum case and the interiors are fully potted with the heat-conducted silicone; moreover these three series are equipped with the IP65 high level protection against the ingress of dust and water (optional IP68 level models are also available) and the up to 10G anti-vibration capability. Conversion efficiencies are up to 94% and these power supplies are specified for operation from -55 to +70 degrees C.

The HEP-100/150/185 series accept the wide input range 90- to 305-Vac, includes active power factor correction, and offer various models with output voltages of 12V/15V/24V/36V/48V/54V, so they can power various industrial control applications running in harsh environment all over the world, such as outdoor telecommunication equipment, outdoor electronic signage and billboards, and petroleum plants or mine shaft facilities, and so on.
