ROAL Electronics announces the release of a new series of very-compact, lightweight, high-efficiency 400W ac-dc power supplies called DDP400HV. This new series of high input voltage power supplies operates at the worldwide input voltage range of 277/347/480Vac. The DDP400-HV eliminates the need for a front end step-down transformer when applied on a single or three-phase input voltage ranging from 249Vac up to 528Vac.

The product series is available with 24V output, featuring a +5Vdc stand-by feature and a +12Vdc auxiliary output with Remote On/Off & output diagnostic signals and very low power consumption in stand-by mode. 36Vdc and 48Vdc models will be available in late Q1. The unit is housed in an IP67 rated sealed enclosure, and includes outdoor flying leads for both input and output connections. The unit may be installed directly in the host equipment or with an optional heat sink available upon request.

The series complies with all International Safety & Regulatory standards and is approved for high altitude (4000 m, > 13,000 ft) operation. ROAL’s new power supply series provides customers with a strategic advantage in a wide range of lighting and industrial applications where high power density from a convection or conduction cooled power supply is required in indoor and outdoor applications, including harsh and severe environments, The product is UL Recognized according to UL 8750 and CSA C22.2 No 250, suitable for dry and damp and hazardous locations (HL rated to Class , Division 2 hazardous (Classified) location luminaires).
