Auto-Tuning 60 A POL Converter features PMBus communication

Comprising SMT DC/DC converters, 60 A TDK-Lambda iJB series occupies 1 in.² of board space, operates from 8–14 Vdc input, and provides 0.6–2 V output with precision set point accuracy of 0.5%. PMBus functionality provides real-time monitoring and allows full programmability of parameters, and function setting pins facilitate use in applications where PMBus communication is not implemented. Series supports parallel operation for currents up to 100 A and exhibits efficiency up to 93%.

Intelligent Auto-Tuning 60A POL Converter has PMBus Communication

TDK Corporation announces the introduction of the 60 Ampere TDK-Lambda iJB series of POL (Point of Load) DC-DC converters.  Featuring intelligent auto-tuning technology, these converters provide better dynamic performance, improved system stability and extremely accurate current read-back.

Operating from an 8 to 14VDC input, the iJB series can provide output voltages of 0.6 to 2V, with a precision set point accuracy of 0.5%.  The series is designed to meet a wide range of applications, including servers, routers and other Information & Communication Technology (ICT) equipment, semiconductor manufacturing equipment, measuring equipment and general industrial equipment.

The surface mount converters occupy only one square inch of board space, representing an industry-leading current density.  Optimization of components using digital control enables high current output in high temperature environments.

The PMBus functionality of the converter provides real-time monitoring of voltage, current and temperature, and allows full programmability of the iJB parameters.  Function setting pins makes them easy to use in applications where PMBus commination is not implemented, including parallel operation.  A GUI (Graphical User Interface) is available for development support.
