Battery Pack Charger Equals Performance of 29W AC Adapter

HYPER by Sanho Corporation today made available for preview 2 new Magic Box adapters that allow the new 12″ USB-C MacBook to be charged at full 29W speed by HyperJuice battery packs or up to 12W speed by any regular USB battery pack. HYPER will be making both new Magic Box adapters as well as the HyperJuice for MacBook battery packs available via a Kickstarter project that will run between September 21st and October 19th, 2015.

When Apple legally stopped HYPER from selling the MagSafe charging cables that connect HyperJuice to MacBooks in 2010, the original Magic Box adapter came about as a workaround. The original Magic Box as a Do-It-Yourself MagSafe modification kit that allow users to modify their Apple MagSafe Power Adapter in 5 minutes to create the MagSafe charging cable that allow HyperJuice to charge MacBooks.

The new Magic Box 29W is an adapter cable that converts the dc output of the HyperJuice battery pack to USB Type-C connection. The adapter cable is controlled by a smart IC that enables fast and safe 29W charging, as if the MacBook is connected to the Apple USB-C Power Adapter. With Magic Box 29W, HyperJuice will be the only battery pack in the world capable of charging any model of MagSafe or USB-C MacBook.

Another new Magic Box 12W is a USB to USB-C adapter that allows any regular USB battery pack to charge the new USB-C MacBook at up to 12W speed. While there are many USB to USB-C adapters and cables in the market, they all consist of simple wiring without any power regulator between the 5W-12W USB battery pack and the USB-C MacBook that is designed to take 29W, which with prolonged usage may damage the MacBook. Like the Magic Box 29W, Magic Box 12W features a smart IC power regulator that enables safer charging of the MacBook at up to 12W speed.
